Welcome to the Abiding Homemaker Substack
I'm so glad you're here!
Hello dear Abiding Homemakers and Sisters in Christ,
I’m honored that you’re here on this little corner of the internet. This newsletter is written in the spirit of Titus 2:3-5.
the older women likewise, that they be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things— that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed.
My heart is to use this space to admonish and encourage my younger sisters in the Lord to walk in these good works listed in Titus 2. I’ll be sharing both practical tips and Biblical wisdom to help you on your journey as a Biblical woman as well as personal stories and life lessons I’ve learned in my marriage, motherhood, and homemaking journey.
A Little Introduction
For those who don’t know me, I’m Stacey Blevins and I’m 40 years old. My husband and I were married at 21, but I was converted from a false understanding of the Gospel when I was 26. I’ve been married for 19 years by God’s grace, and the Lord has blessed my husband and I with eight precious children which we homeschool and seek to train up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. My husband works full time in construction and real estate investing, he is also one of the elders at our local Reformed Baptist Church. We hold to the London Baptist Confession of 1689 and The Baptist Catechism (also known as Keach’s Catechism). My journey as a wife and mother has not been easy, but I know that when I am weak the Lord is strong. I also take heart in knowing that our trials are meant to purify our faith and cause us to more deeply depend on the Lord. I’ve learned many things through the years, and I’m still learning (sanctification is a life-long process). I hope that I can share many of these life lessons here as well.
The name Abiding Homemaker was inspired by the words Jesus spoke in John 15:4-5.
Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
Apart from Christ we cannot truly bear these beautiful fruits of Biblical womanhood which we read about in Titus 2 that adorn the Gospel.
As we daily seek to abide in Christ, we have a unique influence on those within our homes—especially since women are called to be homemakers. Our attitude of reverence, worship, joy, peace, and faith profoundly shapes the atmosphere of our home. Our children are watching and learning from our daily habits, and our husbands are either torn down by our disobedience to God or strengthened and encouraged by our godly character. Scripture tells us in 1 Peter 3:1–2 that even unbelieving husbands can be won over by the chaste conduct of their believing wives.
And this is why I am writing here, and sharing online in general.
My goals are:
to encourage women to abide in Christ deeply and daily
to help them be equipped in their roles as wives, mothers, homemakers (Biblically & practically)
to help young single women prepare for these roles of marriage and motherhood if that is the Lord’s will for them
to pass down Biblical and practical wisdom from one generation to the next so that the Kingdom of God can advance on the earth through our lives and homes
I pray that these letters are a help and a blessing to my dear sisters.
Thanks so much to those of you who are already subscribed! If you are a Christ following woman longing to grow in Biblical womanhood, please consider subscribing. I’d be honored to have you as a precious reader and a friend in this community.

Abide in Christ,
Stacey
